little fairy

A miniature Christmas fairy doll, an original modflowers design, hand made from pure white vintage cotton, with a real silk skirt decorated with star sequins. She wears a vintage cross stitch bodice adorned with seed beads, has pale gold metallic yarn hair and a starry rose-gold coloured beaded crown.

On her back is a pair of tiny gold-coloured metal butterfly wings (reclaimed from a necklace) and she carries a magic wand, with a star at its tip.

Her features are hand embroidered with painted cheeks, she has little black glass eyes and is stuffed with reclaimed polyester cushion filling.

Your little fairy will be happy perching on a shelf or mantelpiece to add a little glamour to your winter display or, with a length of craft wire wrapped around her waist or pinned or clipped in place, she may be attached to the top of your tree.
Alternatively you could add a string using a needle and thread and hang her from a bough or add her to an indoor wreath.

This doll measures approximately 11 cm (about 4.5 inches) from the top of her crown to her feet.
