star fairy

These miniature Christmas fairy dolls are an original modflowers design, hand made from pure white vintage cotton, with real silk skirts decorated with star sequins. They wear vintage cross stitch bodices adorned with seed beads and have pale gold metallic yarn hair and starry rose-gold coloured beaded crowns.

Each fairy is very slightly different, but both are equally charming. They have tiny gold-coloured metal butterfly wings (reclaimed from a necklace) on their backs and each carries a magic wand, with a star at its tip.

Their features are hand embroidered with painted cheeks, they have little black glass eyes and they are stuffed with reclaimed polyester cushion filling.

Your little fairy will be happy perching on a shelf or mantelpiece to add a little glamour to your winter display or, with a length of craft wire wrapped around her waist or pinned or clipped in place, she may be attached to the top of your tree.
Alternatively you could add a string using a needle and thread and hang her from a bough or add her to an indoor wreath.

Each doll measures approximately 11 cm (about 4.5 inches) from the top of her crown to her feet.
