Annabelle de la Foret, a mouse
Mademoiselle Annabelle de la Foret is an original one of a kind modflowers design, hand made from a fuzzy woollen vintage fabric.
Annabelle is a mouse, originally from the Bois de Boulogne, who enjoys promenading and wearing unusually anachronistic outfits. Currently she sports a dress, bloomers and red shoes all "borrowed" from a vintage doll with whom she used to share an apartment, way back when.
She carries a handbag crafted from a beechnut seedcase, with a wire handle. Her neckpiece depicts oak leaves and acorns and her hat is formed from the dried, spiky casing from a horse chestnut.
Annabelle has tiny black glass eyes and her pink nose and claws are hand embroidered with vintage thread. Her ear linings are made from pink linen fabric.
Her arms, legs and head are not jointed and she will need to be propped against something to stand up. She is not suitable for children (her hat really is spiky!) and will not withstand rough handling. She is stuffed with reclaimed polyester filling and weighted with tiny steel pellets.
Annabelle measures approximately 23 cm (9 inches) from the tip of her hat to her toes.
modflowers creations are playful, but please note that they are decorations, not toys and and as such are designed for display rather than play.
This item is made by hand from new, vintage and reclaimed materials and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age, due to small parts and delicate construction. Please do not expose this figurine to damp or moisture.
