Howard, a miniature bear
Howard is a little handmade artist teddy bear, an original one of a kind modflowers design. He always hopes for hot chocolate and English muffins for tea, and is always disappointed to get a cup of tea and a plain biscuit.
Howard's head and limbs are made from a pale beige viscose pile fabric, whilst his tubby body is in a contrasting reclaimed pale fur fabric.
Howard has tiny black glass eyes and his nose and claws are hand embroidered with vintage thread. His style is influenced by my love of vintage bears. He has a long nose, small ears, a tubby tummy and short legs.
Howard wears a Victorian-style cloth tasselled tam o'shanter hat in shades of grey, (held on with elastic and removable with care) and a silk neck bow which is not removable.
His head, legs and arms are cotter pin jointed and may be gently moved, so he can sit or stand and turn his head. He will not, however, stand up to rough handling. He is stuffed with reclaimed polyester filling and pleasingly weighted with tiny steel pellets.
A perfect little decorative companion, Ambrose will sit or stand (with something to lean against) on a shelf or mantelpiece, to keep you company - or to warm the heart of the one you love.
He measures approximately 19 cm (7.5 inches) from the top of his head to the tips of his toes.
modflowers designs are playful, but please note that they are decorations, not toys and as such are designed for display rather than play.
This item is individually made by hand from new, vintage and reclaimed materials and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age, due to small parts and delicate construction. Please keep away from moisture.
