Sebastian, a mohair bear

This little vintage-style art teddy bear is an original one of a kind modflowers design, hand made from a dark golden mohair fur fabric with a brown backing. He is modelled on vintage bears, with a small head, long body and a large-ish snoot.

Sebastian is a worrisome bear, who anticipates calamity at every turn. He wears a real silk bow at his neck and has tiny amber glass eyes. His nose and claws are hand embroidered with vintage thread and he has brown linen paw pads on his feet.

His legs, arms and head are cotter pin jointed and they may be moved gently so that he can sit or stand and turn his head. He will not stand up to rough handling. He is stuffed with reclaimed polyester cushion filling and weighted with tiny steel pellets.

A bear's love is special and unwavering. This particular bear is small enough to keep you company anywhere and looks wonderful as an accent piece sitting on a bookshelf or mantelpiece, or installed as a trusty desk companion.

Sebastian measures approximately 17 cm (approximately 6.5 inches) from the top of his ears to the tips of his toes.
