Ezekiel, a tudor bear
Ezekiel is an artist teddy bear, an original one of a kind modflowers design, hand made from a chocolate brown vintage crushed velvet fabric that was reclaimed from a 1970s handmade skirt.
Ezekiel has tiny black glass eyes and black velvet paw pads. He has tiny ears, long legs, a round tummy and a long head with a large snout. His expression is one of somewhat wistful resignation.
Ezekiel wears a Tudor-style ruff crafted by me from reclaimed cotton fabric. Around his neck is a large silver-coloured bell on a satin ribbon, a decoration befitting his status in the Tudor court, where he performs tableaux for the entertainment of the nobility.
His head, legs and arms are cotter pin jointed and may be gently moved, so he can sit (with something to lean against) and turn his head. He will not, however, stand up as his legs are a little wobbly after too many prolonged performances in his youth.
He is stuffed with reclaimed polyester filling and weighted with tiny steel pellets.
A perfect decorative companion, Ezekiel will sit on a shelf or mantelpiece, to keep you company - or to add a touch of class to any interior.
He measures approximately 23 cm (9 inches) from the top of his head to the tips of his toes.
modflowers designs are playful, but please note that they are decorations, not toys and as such are designed for display rather than play.
This item is individually made by hand from new, vintage and reclaimed materials and is not suitable for children under 14 years of age, due to small parts and delicate construction. Please keep away from moisture.
