Oliver, a small artist bear

This little vintage-style art teddy bear is an original one of a kind modflowers design, hand made from a soft, chocolate brown vintage crushed velvet fabric, that was reclaimed from a handmade 1970s skirt.

Oliver is a chunky little bear, not least because he has something of an obsession with shortbread biscuits. He has tiny amber glass eyes and his nose and claws are hand embroidered with vintage thread. He wears a silk neck bow.

His legs, arms and head are cotter pin jointed and they may be moved gently so that he can sit or stand and turn his head (though he is most comfortable seated). He is stuffed with reclaimed polyester filling and weighted with tiny steel pellets and will not stand up to rough handling.

A bear's love is special and unwavering. This particular bear is small enough to keep you company anywhere and looks wonderful as an accent piece sitting on a bookshelf or mantelpiece, or installed as a trusty desk companion.

He measures approximately 13 cm (just over 5 inches) from the top of his ears to the tips of his toes.
